CWI was contracted by H&J Contracting to provide professional land surveying services to support the development of the South Florida Water Management District’s (SFWMD) Flight Operations Facility, located in the Village of Wellington, FL. The Project consists of the design and construction of a new, easily accessible, and permanent Flight Operations Facility (FOF) located at the southwest intersection of Southern Boulevard and Flying Cow Road in the Village of Wellington, Florida.

It includes a helipad, an associated helicopter parking area for three (3) South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) helicopters; maintenance, storage, and office facilities for two (2) mechanics and four (4) pilots. In addition, the proposed facility will be equipped with an above-ground fuel tank for refueling the helicopters.

Our services include construction layout staking of the roadways and sidewalks, curbs, asphalt pavement, as well as the layout of key site features such as dumpsters, force mains, waterlines, and light poles. As-built surveys are also being conducted for the force main, and phased as-built drawings are being prepared to reflect any plan revisions that occur throughout the construction process. CWI is submitting drainage data prior to paving activities and performing a canal hydrographic topography survey to support site drainage and utility coordination.
