Caulfield & Wheeler Inc., (CWI) was contracted by the City of Tamarac for the Citywide buffer wall, Pine Island Rd. North project to provide professional surveying and mapping services. Service for this project included Specific Purpose Topographic Survey of the property. The Specific Purpose survey included above ground features including R/W EOP, swale areas, sidewalks, driveways, utility poles, fences, concrete walls, location of trees with caliper size above 3” within survey limits, etc.; properties/road right-of-way boundaries out to centerline of the corridor as well as a minimum 15’ of adjoining properties behind the R/W, including full width of intersecting cross road R/W; at least one bench mark and two horizontal control points (new or existing), preferably existing property corners; Location of underground facilities as evidenced by surface features (valve boxes, manholes, handholes, etc.). Citywide Buffer Wall Project Phase IIC (Design and Permitting) involves designing, obtaining permits, and constructing the Buffer Wall Pine Island North Project. Situated on the west side of Pine Island Road, between NW 79th and 81st Street, it encompasses the creation of around 1,260 linear feet of a precast system buffer wall. Additional components include concrete foundations, relocating utilities, constructing concrete columns, installing precast wall panels, and making minor landscape enhancements.
